Can you please provide more info about your lighting setup?

I think he did a very good job explaining his set up. If you look at the two pictures on the right, you can see that he checked each light individually first. When he got the exposure he wanted for each one (the body, and then the front of the lens) then he shot both together.

Hopefully I'm right!
