Great idea! My only suggestion is try turning the flash behind the book down to say half power.

Think so? I was going for just a little over exposure. May have went overboard a bit. Thanks for the suggestion!

Great idea. I think the overexpose light works in relation to what you are communicating. My suggestion (because of the spilled light on his left hand) is to snoot with 20% honeycomb grid. This should give a directional and softer light. It works, but is a bit hard. Nice shot though.

I am wonder if the flash was pointed at the book rather than the reader what difference this would make?. I agree with Raymond nice shoot though.
