What? Standing only 2 feet from the wall is going to make the paint texture sharper, not a blur!

This is especially true with a wide angle focal length.

I suppose I should have added "as opposed to standing the subject directly against the wall." It was a pretty tiny room. The focal distance was fairly short, so 2-feet was sufficient. It's all relative ;)
