how did you manage to shoot at 1/2000sec? Isn't max sync speed set to 1/250th?

We had very little time for this shot because the sun was going down very fast. Sun was one source of the light, actually it acts more like a background, rather than a light source. A speedlight Nikon SB-900 with a shoot through umbrella was to the left from the camera.
