Yes! You have very detailed description of your light with great example on photo!
Of course this info will be helpful)

I also like to use big light sources in relation to the model.
On your photo - what size of octabox did you use?

In this stylized senior session, I was going for a rock album cover, meets post apocalyptic setting. I really wanted the aunt o break through the window in camera upper right, so we waited till just before sunset. I positioned my Alien Bee 800 in a large Octabox, powered by a Vagabond Mini to camera left pointed almost completely away from the subject to take advantage of feathered light. I under exposed the scene by 2/3 of a stop and added fill light as needed.

I positioned the light pretty high and aimed slightly downward to create some more dramatic shadows.
