In the diagram, the middle flash looks like it's in front of the back-drop. Is it below the glass and angled up at it? It's confusing. Thank you for clarifying!

1/1250 sec. is correct. HSS - High speed sync.
1/125 to slow for taking picture of that.

good you have that HSS in you camera
in my 50D canon the HSS is just 1/200 sec.

Yes. It is one big poster from other side white. One is bouncing to the background and two others are from both sides. Thats all.
